Getting your work done shouldn’t be such a pain. But for many of us, it’s just that….

Pain in the back,
pain in the shoulders,
pain in the neck…

There’s no need to suffer any longer…

HealthDesk’s customized ergonomic solutions will boost comfort, well-being and productivity in your workspace.

Taking care of the workforce

More and more companies are recognizing the need to invest in employee health and well-being. For some, that means investing in physical health benefits like paid gym memberships, massage benefits, and running shoe stipends.

The value of these investments is diminished if your team members keep working hour after hour in uncomfortable workspaces.

A 2019 workplace study revealed that employees with pain missed nine more days of work per year than those without pain. Not only can pain keep your staff from coming to work, it also keeps them from doing the activities they want and need to do outside of work like going to the gym, pushing their kid on the swing, or taking a hike on the weekend.

If employees are missing out on the things they love doing because their work environments are causing pain, It’s not only a quality of life issue for the employee. It can become a morale issue for you, the employer.

You want your employees showing up to work in optimal physical and emotional health. Simple changes to the workspace can help just that.

Testimonials

Thank you so much Lisa! I am already feeling better with this new set-up.
I plan to add those stretches to my lunch break and end of day.
Based on your suggestions I also found a better chair that still folds up.
I really appreciate the help.

M.S., Employee Engagement Coordinator, trying to reduce back pain while working from a folding chair in her dining room

Before working with Lisa I was experiencing a good deal of eye strain, lower back pain, and just felt overly fatigued from sitting at my desk all day. It was difficult to feel motivated to work when I didn’t feel like I was physically comfortable at my desk.
Lisa helped me identify some really easy changes I could make to my work station. We talked through exercises to do during the day, adjustments to my desk and chair set up, and specific tips to address my pains and strains.
I have felt my fatigue and strain significantly decrease since our meeting and I feel physically better at the end of every day. The process was easy and Lisa was extremely diligent in addressing all of my concerns.

I know because she did an assessment on me and with a few easy tweaks, made work set-up much, much better. I’m not struggling with the headaches and eye strain I had before. My neck doesn’t hurt as much.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you evaluate traditional offices as well as home workspaces?

-Yes. HealthDesk performs assessments of work-from home and traditional in-person offices.

Can’t I just look for ergonomic advice online and adjust my own workspace?

By all means, yes. However, if you find the information too one-size-fits-all, too overwhelming, or you just don’t have the time to do the research, that’s where HealthDesk comes in. HealthDesk provides you with customized solutions specific to your individual workspace.

I don’t have any pain. Why should I bother with this?

Repetitive stress injuries linked to our reliance on modern office technology are an increasingly common occupational health problem. It’s healthier, easier, and more cost-effective to reduce your risk, rather than trying to reduce your pain once it occurs.

My desk is really messy. Do I need to clean it before participating in an assessment?

Absolutely not. HealthDesk doesn’t judge and is more interested in your posture than the cleanliness of your desk.

Our team has returned to the office. Do you perform assessments in person?

On-site assessments are available throughout MA and Hartford CT areas. Contact Lisa at HealthDesk for inquiries regarding other sites. If on-site’s not feasible, remote assessments are always an option!
